The Empire Strikes Back

FACTUALLY. That’s the latest in a string of initiatives by the Govt to provide ‘factual’ information to counter the myths and untruths from anti-PAP online users, which the PAP probably thinks contributed to its worst election showing in 50 years.

FACTUALLY. REACH. Fabrications about the PAP. Fabrications Led by Opposition Parties (FLOP). Five Stars and A Crescent Moon. Ministers and their Facebook Postings. SG Conversation. Etc. Most of these have have come in a space of less than one year since GE 2011.

It’s clear now that the Empire has decided to strike back. Both government agencies and PAP supporters are now fighting hard against the anti-PAP rebels.

I now fear for the Rebel Alliance. The ones they’ve sent into Parliament have not distinguished themselves to date. No doubt they are hard workers and will be re-elected on the basis of their hard work and service to their estates, barring unforeseen circumstances.

But as trailblazers for the new generation of Jedis, they haven’t put up an inspiring performance to date. Without a stellar performance from them, how will more worthy fighters be inspired to join the Rebel alliance?

We have no Han Solo or Luke Skywalker to rally the Rebel forces. We have a beautiful and capable Princess Leia, but she is still reluctant to present herself. Without the key players, how will the Rebel Alliance restore the balance to the Force in 2016?

The fear of loss is a path to the Dark Side.

Ahhh! you sound much better with some humour.. Good post!

Although hope is never a good strategy, I am rooting for more voices in parliament. Perhaps it may play out with Obe wan sacrificing himself. It is nice to dream.

What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the Republic has become the very evil we’ve been fighting to destroy?

    • Mike Zeng says:

Where got democracy here? It’s meritocracy not democracy that’s practiced here. Notice no PAP Minister nor MP ever used the D word but rather the M word? Why? Coz democracy will bring them down not unlike the Northern Arab countries but meritocracy will keep them in their highly-paid powerful posts! They think they are at the top of the heap purely due to their meritous academic achievements.

So the stories continue to unveil…
Guess what happen in Return of Jedi ? In that movie there is Darth Vader throwing the destructive evil Emperor down the bridge, putting the end of the evil regime. Darth Vader is the apprentice of the Emperor. So a high-ranking leader repent at the last moment. We only at the stage of the Empire Strike Back, waiting for part 3. In the meantime, beware of the AT-AT walkers … Beware of the Dark Star … Beware of MIW (Stormtroopers) and MIB (Darth Vader) … Beware of Boba Fett, Beware of Imperial Bounty Hunters …

May the force be with you … LOL

  5. Idiot says:

Ha ha .. maybe the true Luke Skywalker will be ex-PAP members standing up to the PAP, such as Tan Cheng Bock, Maidin Packer, etc. Because these are seasoned ex-politicians, ex-PAP but with a better touch of the current ground sentiment. If this really materialises, then its ironic – Darth Vader saying to Luke Skywalker : “You are my son” !!!

  6. so who is Darth Vadar? lol . The Force will always be with those in the light. Stay strong my friend it will be a long night 🙂

can sleep at 1.45am, ha ha in your blog again.

We are all caught in the show, either we are audience or actors are all the same. As my good friend always says, The people deserve the government they choose! The pain is not there yet, we need 6.5 million people, ha ha,

We just cannot adjust to 5 million in the last 10 years and now we need 6.5 million in 2021, ha ha COE 200K and HDB easy easy hit 1 million in Toa Payoh, that is what they want, good luck,

Today, have a lousy buffet dinner at Momiji Japansese Resturant, cost 175 dollars for 3 adults and 2 children. Bloody expansive in North Point. Use to have below $100 10 years ago. So so food and too many people.

That’s is life compare to 10 years ago, More bad years for the poor and PAP just cannot get out their growth without adding more manpower!

    Wake Up,
