Now that the key candidates have all been announced, it’s timely to refresh this oldie but goodie:
Can I have a translated English language version. Thankyou.
This cannot be translated. Find someone who understands the story to explain the subtleties of the characterisation to you.
hmm…i understand chinese but i don’t get the nuances…
can u at least provide some references to the chinese literature that your “subtleties” come from? thank you very much in advance! =)
You need to read the novel or watch the series. For example 灭绝 is a woman who would never forgive anyone; it’s so apt for Teoh Soh Lung because I think she hasn’t forgiven PAP for her sufferings under ISA, and her running in this election is to get into Parliament so she can get back at PAP.
Is this analogy appropriate?

I can agree to your point that the current alternative parties are like 六大派 in terms of disunity. PAP is 明教, whether deliberately done with sarcasm or not, is doing great injustice.
Thanks SgpInForeignLand. I hope you’ve read my link. I think one should consider whether PAP are as bad for Singapore as most “opp” supporters think, or whether they are really just misunderstood, like 明教.
I can’t comment here as I do not know your definition of “bad” and your understanding of how “bad” that alternative parties supporters think PAP is. From my perspective, there is only good and bad policies.
As well, my apologies for refusing to use the term “opp” as I do not believe in such labeling.
