Whiners, Groaners and Complainers

Tin Pei Ling is a moron. She’s young, immature, doesn’t understand national issues, doesn’t know what to do, stamps her feet when she doesn’t know what to say, etc.

Don’t let Tin Pei Ling get into Parliament by riding on somebody’s coat tails! Field Tin Pei Ling in an SMC and let Singaporeans decide! Sign our petition!

What’s the problem guys?

Why aren’t you celebrating that Tin Pei Ling will weaken any PAP team she’s in and make it easier for you to take down a GRC?

Instead, “opposition” supporters have again demonstrated that subconsciously, they do not think that “opposition” candidates are good enough to take down PAP ministers, even if they had a clunker like Tin Pei Ling.

With such defeatist attitudes, what’s the point of supporting “opposition”?

I do not believe PAP ministers are invincible.

I do not believe that the GRC system cannot be beaten.

I believe that unless the “opposition” fields candidates who can beat PAP ministers, we will not get anywhere in politics.

If I were an “opposition” leader, I would put my strong team in in the same GRC as Tin Pei Ling, and I would make it a central issue of my campaign. Namely, do voters want my experienced strong team, or do they want to let PAP slip in a bimbo?

If PAP can make issues out of Tang Liang Hong and Jufrie Mahmood, I can make issues out of Tin Pei Ling.

I would not be complaining.

I would not be pressing for Tin Pei Ling to be fielded in an SMC.

I would be salivating. At the prospect of taking down a GRC, with her in it.

I concur. She’s the weakest link.
Understandably in the heat of moment, some Opp camp still naively think the “fair way” to go is to fight it out in SMC. They forgot PAP play politics like guerrilla warfare; they never play fair.
OTOH, if PAP does nothing, it will be yet another sign that the ruling party has arrogantly choose to ignore the outrage by the people. That can only fuel the fire in the electorates.

Totally agree with you about the “Tin Pei Ling” syndrome . As I put in Temasek Review and TOC comment postings:

    1 stone = 2 birds
    1 vote = 4-6 PAP GRC candidates

However, having said that, I’d pay heed to Homer Simpson’s quote:
“Never under-estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers”, bearing in mind that SM Goh is generally perceived as fairly benign.

Ditto for Foo Mee Har. No smoke without fire. Too salacious for my taste.

To me, PAP branding has been substantially hit when the Tin’s and the Foo’s are the best that the PAP can trawl up after “nearly 200 tea sessions” over “4+ years” with “260 candidates”, … after expending “exhaustive efforts” with “thousands of man-hours spent by senior members of the Party”, … after assessing the candidates “over a period of time”, … and applying “stringent standards” –
do watch the video of Ng Eng Hen posted in PAP’s web-site.
